<p>An authentication method and system in which a person that requests to be authenticated to for example a service provider, an application or a device, must instead of submitting a password perform a task in the form of a sequence of actions on a user device. The task varies between each access attempt and the person has to follow one or more rules, which are different for each user, when performing the task. An authentication server checks that the person has performed the task in accordance with the rules and if so authenticates the person. Preferably, the task is performed in a virtual environment displayed on the user device.</p> |
