PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for changing a remote control number on a menu, which executes a processing of changing a remote control ID on a main body device side using a remote controller. SOLUTION: Setting of a remote control code ID (hereinafter referred to as a remote control ID) on the apparatus (hereinafter referred to as a main body apparatus) side is configured using a remote controller. Thereafter, the main body apparatus uses the set remote control ID as a remote control ID for filtering and identifies a remote controller by conforming a received remote control ID to the remote control ID for filtering.
