<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing polymer electrolyte moldings excellent in proton conductivity, fuel cut-off properties, mechanical strength, hot water resistance, hot methanol resistance, workability, and chemical stability, and capable of providing high power, high energy density, and a long life as a polymer electrolyte fuel cell; and to provide a polymer electrolyte material using the polymer electrolyte moldings, a membrane electrode assembly, and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the polymer electrolyte moldings, a polymer electrolyte material containing an aromatic ring having a t-butyl group is molded, and then at least part of the t-butyl group contained in the moldings is deprotected. The method of manufacturing the polymer electrolyte membrane is applied to the polymer electrolyte material, the membrane electrode assembly, and the polymer electrolyte fuel cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
