PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging paper box having a pocket that accommodates, for example, a cold preserving material or candles, without reducing the accommodating space in the body of a packaging paper box. SOLUTION: The external face of the top wall or side-wall 2 of the box body 1 includes the pocket P for accommodating a cold insulating material or the like. The top wall or side-wall 2 having the pocket includes a plurality of air circulation holes 10 communicating with the inside of the box and the pocket. The pocket includes: a main wall 6 that swings so as to freely come into contact with the top wall or side-wall or separated therefrom; side plates 20 connected to the right and left sides of the main wall; and a lid flap 22 that closes the opening of the pocket. Connected to one end of each side plate 20 is a swing guide plate 21 located in the box body. A stopper 25 projecting in the direction of the inside of the box body is formed at the free end of each swing guide plate 21. The stopper 25 comes into contact with the internal face of the top wall or the corresponding side-wall 2, thereby restricting the range of swing of the main wall 6 of the pocket.
