PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water pump capable of preventing an impeller shaft from being deviated in the axial direction by the pressure when the pump is operated, and preventing an impeller from being brought into contact with an inner surface of a pump room by a considerably simple structure. SOLUTION: The water pump comprises a pump body A composed of a pump body 1, an impeller shaft 2, an impeller 3, and a driven gear 4, and drive source B having a drive gear 5 to be engaged with the driven gear 4. The driven gear 4 is located outside the pump body 1, and fitted to the impeller shaft 2. A fixing means C for fixing the impeller shaft 2 only in the axial direction is provided on at least any one side of the driven gear 4 and the drive gear 5. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
