PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control structure for a building, which can positively improve the damping performance of the multistory building. SOLUTION: The vibration control structure A is provided for the multistory building, and girders of a peripheral portion 6 on part or all of stories of the building are constituted of outrigger trusses 11 which are each arranged in a manner striding upward and downward a reference height H of a floor surface 12a of each story. Each outrigger truss 11 is formed by incorporating a vibration control damper 13 in a top chord 11a or a bottom chord 11b. Preferably the vibration control damper 13 of the outrigger truss 11 is arranged at an end of the top chord 11a or the bottom chord 11b connected to a column 10 of the building.
