METHOD FOR INCREASING CONVERSION EFFICIENCY OF SOLAR ENERGY INTO ELECTRIC POWER AND A DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT SAID METHOD

The invention relates to a method for increasing conversion efficiency of solar energy into electric power and to a device for carrying out said method. The inventive method involves the conversion of sunlight into electric current in the broadest spectrum range, i.e. in the visible and infrared range, owing to the fact that sunlight is converted into electric current in the broadest spectrum range, i.e. in the visible and infrared range, by means of the hybrid use of a narrow-band gap crystal silicon material (the width of the energy band gap Eg=1.1eV) and a semiconductor broad-band polymer material (Le dossier US2009/37622 ligohydroguinone, oligo-a-naphthol, oligo-ß-naphthol or oligo-amino-phenylen) with the width of the energy band gap Eg >2 eV; and that a structure with an antireflection coating applied over a polymer film is used, thereby making it possible to return the light reflected from the surface of the materials to the working volume of a hybrid photovoltaic converter. The method makes it possible to achieve the greatest conversion efficiency of solar energy into electrical energy (performance factor) and to reduce the cost of the output electric power unit. The hybrid photovoltaic converter which comprises a film made of a broad-band semiconductor polymer material anda transparent titanium oxide (TiOx) film is placed on a low-ohmic crystal silicon, and the structure with an antireflection coating is applied over a polymer film.
