PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way valve into which liquid continuously flows when the valve is in an opened condition, to actualize stable operation, and to provide a door check device having a good feeling of operation during opening/closing a door. SOLUTION: The one-way valve comprises a first duct (a duct) 371 in which liquid flows, a valve element 391 to be moved in the first duct 371, an opening (a hole portion) 371c provided in the first duct 371 on the upstream side of the valve element 391 and adapted to be plugged into a closed condition by the valve element 391, an energizing means 401 for energizing the valve element 391 in the direction of plugging the opening 371c, an O-ring (an annular seal) 393 arranged between the peripheral edge of the opening 371c and the valve element 391, a groove (a storage recessed portion) 391c recessed in the valve element 391 for storing the O-ring 393, and a communication groove (a communication recessed portion) 392 communicated with the peripheral edge of the groove 391c.
