MEDICAL IMAGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

A medical image management system which allows efficient medical care in connection with a medical image management server even when there are plurality of client terminals in a small-scale medical facility such as a general practitioner's facility. The system is provided with a medical image management device (3) provided with the medical image management server and the client terminals so connected with the medical image management server that transmission/reception of data can be performed therebetween. Each client terminal is provided with a storage part (32) in which patient information relating to a patient is stored; a connection means so connected with the medical image management server that transmission/reception of data can be performed therebetween; a disconnection means which disconnects the connection with the medical image management server allowed by the connection means; and a disconnection request transmission means which transmits a disconnection request for requesting the disconnection of the connection allowed by the connection means of another client terminal. When the disconnection request is transmitted by the disconnection request transmission means of another client terminal mentioned before, the disconnection means can disconnects the connection allowed by the connection means.
