PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable connector in which a manufacturing cost is reduced by reducing the number of parts, a transmission route of a ground signal is secured, and electric performance is improved. SOLUTION: The cable connector includes an insulating material made plug side retaining member 11 having a base part 14 and a guide protruding part 16 to guide fitting and separation with a counter side connector by extending forward from the tip of the base part 14, a plug contact 10 retained by the plug side retaining member 11, and metallic first and second shell members 30, 40 installed so as to cover respectively the mutually opposing lower side and upper side bottom faces in the base part 14 of the plug side retaining member 11, and the first shell member 30 includes a first ground terminal 31 extending integrally connected so as to cover the lower side bottom face of the guide protruding part 16 from the tip part of the first shell member 30, a sidewall part 33 which is integrally connected from the first ground terminal 31, extended upward, and embedded and installed at the guide protruding part 16, and a lock part 35 which is integrally connected from the upper end of the sidewall part 33, protruded out from the upper side bottom face of the guide protruding part 16, and lock-retains fitting to the counter side connector.
