摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tripod-type constant velocity universal joint capable of obtaining sufficient durability and a vibration and noise performance as is similar to a case when a needle-like roller is used, and reducing part costs by reducing the number of the needle-like roller as less as possible. SOLUTION: This constant velocity universal joint is provided with a needle-like roller restraining projecting part 54 for interposing a plurality of needle-like rollers 46 at one part in an annular gap formed between an outer periphery of a leg shaft 42 of a tripod member 44 and an inner periphery of a roller 48, and not for mechanically interposing the needle-like roller 46 between an outer periphery in a range of a predetermined angleθ1 which is one part of a range on the outer periphery of the leg shaft 42, in which a torque transmission load is not applied, and the inner periphery of the roller 48. Therefore, sufficient durability and a vibration and noise performance can be obtained as is similar to the case when the needle-like roller 46 is used, and part costs can be reduced by reducing the number of the needle-like rollers 46 as less as possible.
