PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a structure for an annular part for calibration at low cost, which can set a measurement speed of a measurement machine freely and carry out a calibration in further consideration of background vibration of this measurement machine, and to obtain a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: A spline shaft 11 having a prescribed number of projecting parts 12, 12 is pressed into an annular raw material 14, thereby forming concavo-convex areas whose number corresponds to that of the projecting parts 12, 12, on the outer circumferential surface of the annular raw material 14. Then, a polishing operation is applied to the outer circumferential surface, thereby smoothing these concavo-convex areas and bringing the outer circumferential surface so as to have a substantially cylindrical surface. Next, the annular raw material 14 is removed from the spline shaft 11, thereby obtaining the calibration-use annular part, having the outer circumferential surface which is a measurement surface, in a state where mutually smooth and continuous concavo-convex areas are formed thereon, which have a prescribed magnitude of amplitude and whose number corresponds to that of the concavo-convex areas.
