PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism that can contribute to putting to commercial use a product that has made it possible to create a directive.

SOLUTION: A controller 2100 performs control to create a directive as a part of printed matter is created in a job in which a plurality of pieces of printed matter need to be created, wherein the directive is created so that information concerning execution of postprocessing for the part of the printed matter is described in the directive.
