PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain miniaturization and weight reduction of an electronic cassette by composing a battery to be installed in the electronic cassette, of at least two batteries of small capacity. SOLUTION: A battery section 48 has three batteries 200a-200c respectively set to capacity to allow at least one radiography and transmission of radiation image information obtained by the radiography. The battery section 48 has a feeder line 202 for power supply to at least a radiation detector 44; an energy receiving part 204 receiving supply energy from the outside; an energy conversion part 206 converting the received supply energy into electric energy; a charging line 208 connected to the energy conversion part 206; and a battery switching part 210 for connecting three batteries 200a-200c selectively to the feeder line 202 and the charging line 208.
