PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front side member structure capable of preventing the quick lowering of a withstanding force to an impact force and efficiently absorbing collision energy. SOLUTION: This front side member structure is provided with a front side member 11 formed of an extrusion material and with a front side member receiving member 12 provided on a lower side of a dash panel 13 and having a fitting part 14 which is formed by casting and to which a rear end of the front side member is fitted. The receiving member 12 is provided with a slant rib 15 having a front part connected to the fitting part and a rear part led to the vehicle width outer side and arranged slantly with respect to the front side member; and an impact force dispersing means which makes the front side member generate the bending moment M1 when the impact force F1 is applied to the front side member during a frontal collision to bend the rear part of the front side member to the vehicle width direction outer side, and at the same time, disperses part of the impact force F1 to the slant rib caused by the bending.
