The camera has a stereoscopy system (100) with image sensors (102, 104) arranged in a base line (106). An evaluation unit (300) e.g. programmable logic device, evaluates three dimensional images (112, 212) from image data of a spatial area. Another stereoscopy system (200) has two image sensors (202, 204) that are arranged in another base line (206). The unit is designed to read the image data from the sensors in rows and columns and to set the read rows or columns to sections of the images. The unit is designed to combine an entire image (302) from the images of the sensors. An independent claim is also included for a method for monitoring a spatial area. |
