A teaching device for the game of basketball. An elongated flexible tube is secured to the palm of a player's hand by means of an elastic loop which extends from each end of the tube around the back of the hand of the player. A plurality of auxiliary elastic straps are equally spaced apart along the tube and secured thereto. Each auxiliary strap extends between the fingers of the player's hand to keep them separated.
