A subscriber information management method of a broadband merging network and an apparatus thereof for updating the subscriber information after restoring the information in a state where the failure of a plurality of process modules occurs are provided to prevent the subscriber information from being previously managed by the processing module. A soft switch(700) is connected with a subscriber information management system(800) managing the subscriber information of a public telephone subscriber. The subscriber data management system manages the database toward the caller identifier of all common telephone subscribers. According to the subscriber data management system is the request of soft switch, the caller identifier change requested is transmitted with the POTS process module managing the call processing of the corresponding common telephone subscriber.
