<p>The press has a die plate (16) provided with a die opening (20). A plunger pair including a lower plunger and an upper plunger is associated to the die opening. The die plate is locked in a selected position by a self-adjustable clamping device (24) i.e. quick clamp device. The die plate is arranged on a part of a frame. The clamping device has a clamping ring (28) operated via a clamping lever (26). The clamping ring has a material-thick area and a material-thin area that are selectively engaged with a locking pin of the die plate, in corresponding positions.</p> |
