FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to microbiological industry and concerns the bacterium Escherichia coli that is a succinic acid producer, and a method for preparing succinic acid with the use of such bacteria. The described bacteria is modified by changing a nucleotide sequence of a promoter and a ribosome-binding site controlling expression of operon aceEF-lpdA genes in a bacterial chromosome so that expression of the aceE, aceF and lpdA genes in said bacteria is amplified.
