<p>Coating a moving paper- or a moving board web in a coating machine, comprises: guiding and transporting the web through the coating machine by rollers and supporting elements; applying a pre-coating on at least one side of the web; passing the web provided with the pre-coat through at least one roller gap of a smoothening unit (3); pressing, smoothening and advancing the web within the roller gap; and applying a main coating on the web-side provided with the pre-coating. An independent claim is also included for a device for coating the moving paper- or a moving board web in the coating machine, into which the web is conducted and transported by the rollers and the supporting elements, comprising: a pre-coating section (2) for pre-coating the web; the smoothening unit arranged behind the pre-coating section in the web moving direction, where the web is passed through the roller gap for smoothening and advancing the web, and pressed, and the running behavior of the web is stabilized in the smoothening unit; and a main coating section (4) arranged behind the polishing unit in the web moving direction for applying the main coating on the web.</p> |
