PURPOSE: According to the capacity of a power source charged to a solar battery, a mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to restrict the usage of a function in which power is greatly consumed or which a user does not prefer. CONSTITUTION: A solar battery(192) converts received sunlight into a power source for mobile terminal. A display unit(151) performs a display operation with a power source charged to the solar battery. A memory(160) includes a table. At least one function is set to the table. The use of the function is respectively limited by the level of the capacity of the charged power source. With reference to the table, a controller(180) restricts the usage of a function corresponding to the level of a measured power capacity out of functions of a mobile terminal(100).
