PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a flexible printed circuit board capable of arranging circuit lines with a high density by forming the cross sectional shape of the circuit in a shape close to a rectangular shape from a trapezoidal shape. SOLUTION: A laminate sticking an aluminum foil and a film made of a synthetic resin is prepared. The surface of the aluminum foil in the laminate is resist-treated, and a resist and a non-resist are formed and etched. A non-resist site is post-treated by a ferric-chloride aqueous solution after etching. Then, the non-resist site is finish-treated by an aqueous solution selected from a group consisting of a sodium-hydroxide aqueous solution, a sodium-carbonate aqueous solution, a sodium-phosphate aqueous solution, a phosphoric-acid aqueous solution, a nitric-acid aqueous solution, and a chromic-acid aqueous solution.
