GAS GENERATOR COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generator composition where the pressure index is very small and the pressure dependence of a burning rate is extremely low. SOLUTION: The gas generator composition containing a nitrogen-containing organic compound as a fuel and ammonium nitrate as an oxidizing agent is characterized by including a weight ratio of the nitrogen-containing organic compound to ammonium nitrate of 35/65 or less. Further, the blending ratio of a copper compound in the gas generator composition may be larger than 0 pts.wt. and 30 pts.wt. or less based on 100 pts.wt. of the total amount of the nitrogen-containing organic compound and ammonium nitrate. A basic copper nitrate is favorable as the copper compound. A guanidine derivative, especially guanidine nitrate, is favorable as the nitrogen-containing organic compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
