METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DECORATIVE ARTICLE, DECORATIVE ARTICLE, AND TIMEPIECE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of stably manufacturing a decorative article with pinkish glossiness, high aesthetic appearance in which color unevenness at each part is prevented, and excellent durability.

SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a decorative article 1 includes a step (1c) of forming a first coating 3 mainly comprising TiN; a step (1d) of forming a second coating 4 on the first coating 3 by a dry plating method using a target containing 70.0 wt.% or more and 85.0 wt.% or less Au and 15.0 wt.% or more and 30.0 wt.% or less Cu; a step (1e) of promoting solid solution of constituents of the second coating 4 by applying a heat treatment of heating to 300°C or more and 395°C or less, and applying a cooling process; and a step (1f) of removing at least part of constituents not forming a solid solution body out of the constituents of the second coating 4 by applying an acid treatment.
