PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for detecting an abnormality of electric wiring capable of detecting even instantaneous disconnection, and preventing beforehand complete disconnection. SOLUTION: This abnormality detection device 10 of electric wiring 1 for detecting an abnormality of the electric wiring 1 based on a current signal flowing through the electric wiring 1 includes: a noise detection coil 11 arranged near the electric wiring 1, for detecting an electromagnetic noise generated by disconnection of the electric wiring 1; and an electromagnetic noise output means including a resistance 12 for converting a current generated by the electromagnetic noise detected by the noise detection coil 11 into a voltage, and a waveform measuring means 14 for measuring waveform data showing a time-series change of a voltage applied to the resistance 12 and outputting the waveform data.
