PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a piece twisted fabric by facing coated faces each other and sewing the bottom edge parts, prevent the coated face from exposing, improve durability, and simplify cleaning. SOLUTION: A double layer umbrella has: a cutting process A for cutting a sheet belt-like body 3 forming a coated face 2 into approximately isosceles triangle shapes to form large and small sheet bodies 4 and 5; a piece sewing process B for double-plying a piece twisted fabric 6 by superimposing the large and small sheet bodies 4 and 5 to face the coated face 2 each other and by sewing the bottom edges 4a and 5a together; an embroidery process C for embroidering the large and small sheet bodies 4 and 5 to the piece sewing fabric 6 in the closely contacted state; and an umbrella fabric sewing process E for forming umbrella fabrics 9, where the part 9a sewn together with one piece twisted fabric 6 and other fabric 6 is curved, by facing the one piece twisted fabric 6 and another adjacent piece twisted fabric 6 to the large sheet body 4 to roll in the side edges 6b and 6b for sewing with a folded seam allowance 7 together and by sewing the seam allowance 7 along a curved sheet contacting body 8 by a sewing machine.
