The selector valve has a closure element (20) provided with through channels (16, 18) and rotatably mounted in a base body (10) to make a connection among connectors (A, B, P, R) that are provided in the base body. The closure element is mounted in a sealing body (14) with a ring opening and through-holes (22, 24, 26), and the sealing body includes a ring in an opened position. The through-holes are provided with a sealing element. A release opening is partially sealed after mounting the closure element in the sealing body. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a selector valve.
