PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical drop cable in which separation of an optical fiber unit and coated optical fibers is facilitated and ensured and in which influence by oviposition of cicadas is prevented. SOLUTION: The optical drop cable has separation notches 17A, 17B which are formed on both sides of a jacket 16 along the boundary between optical fiber units 20, 21 and which are formed so that the optical fiber units 20, 21 are separable from each other in a state covered with the jacket 16 in a manner exposing no coated optical fibers 14, 15 arranged in the respective optical fiber units 20, 21 after the separation. In addition, the optical drop cable has notches 18A, 18B, 19A, 19B for drawing coated optical fibers, the notches being formed on the jacket 16, from each square part of the four corners of the jacket 16 in the nearly rectangular cross sectional shape of the optical drop cable 1 toward the center of the cross section, so that no coated optical fibers 14, 15 are situated on the extended line and that the notches reach the neighborhood of the coated optical fibers 14, 15.
