PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive opalescent inorganic pigment achieving good dispersibility in water or bath water. SOLUTION: The opalescent inorganic pigment comprises a white inorganic pigment, sucrose fatty acid ester and an anionic surfactant or comprises a white inorganic pigment, sucrose fatty acid ester, an anionic surfactant and a nonionic water-soluble polymer compound, provided that the white inorganic pigment content is 90-99 mass%.
