Security document comprises: a substrate (1) with a front side and a back side. The front- and/or the back side are at least partially coated with at least a coating of at least one at least partially translucent plastic film (4). At least one side of the partially translucent plastic film facing the substrate is at least partially coated with a color (3), whose color tone is at least similar to the substrate. An independent claim is also included for producing the security document, comprising: providing the substrate; applying an adhesive layer (2) to the front- and/or the back sides of the substrate; providing the partially translucent plastic film; applying the color to the front- and/or the back sides of the plastic film, where the color tone of the color is similar to the substrate or the adhesive layer; and applying, preferably laminating the plastic film on the front- and/or the back sides of the substrate. |
