PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a security system by reducing a risk that a customer feels uncomfortable at a security gate.

SOLUTION: A self-checkout system 1 includes a self-checkout terminal device 10 and a monitoring terminal device 30. The self-checkout terminal device 10 includes a barcode scanner and registers commodity information by reading a barcode. The self-checkout terminal device 10 inactivates a detection object apparatus 21 (a security tag) attached to a commodity when reading the barcode. Commodities 20 stored in a shopping bag after being registered are measured by a commodity weight measuring means 14 and agreement between the registered commodities 20 and the measured commodities 20 is checked. A detection object apparatus detection means 13 collectively detects that the detection object apparatus 21 is in an activated state for a plurality of commodities 20 stored in a shopping bag. A report means 17 reports to the monitoring terminal device 30 that the detection object apparatus 21 is in the activated state.
