<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal compressor capable of restraining adhesion of the solid matter to a compressor channel and a rotation member of the centrifugal compressor so as to restrain performance decline and generation of vibration in the centrifugal compressor by restraining production of a polymer-like solid matter by lowering a temperature of an entire compressed gas by efficiently cooling the compressed gas in the centrifugal compressor. <P>SOLUTION: The centrifugal compressor 1 comprises a casing 5, a rotary shaft 2, a plurality of impellers 3 provided in multiple stages in the rotary shaft 2, a return channel 4, and a cooling water injecting device 30 for cooling down a compressed gas G.
