<p>PURPOSE:To enable to automatically set the optimum mirror angle according to the position of the driver, by a method wherein a preset mirror angle optimum for the position of the eyes of the driver after adjusting the seat is calculated, and the mirror is adjusted to obtain the preset angle. CONSTITUTION:After the driver takes the seat 2, when an operating lever is operated for adjusting the seat position and is re-locked, a push switch 203 is turned ON, and a command for starting the system is given to a computer 5. Then, the seat position after the seat adjustment is calculated on the basis of a value l' obtained by subjecting an output voltage from a potentiometer 4 to A/D conversion, and the optimum mirror angle is calculated on the basis of the seat position. Next, the optimum mirror angle and a current mirror angle detected by sensors 103, 105 incorporated in a room mirror device 1 are compared with each other, and actuators 102, 104 are controlled by the computer 5 so that the deviation between the two angles becomes within allowable limits, thereby automatically adjusting the angle of a mirror 101.</p> |
