PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly transfer data at a high speed and reduce current consumption during data transfer, in a system having a plurality of memory devices. SOLUTION: A control section performs a write operation for transferring write data to one of the plurality of memory devices by utilizing: (i) an identification information transmission period during which the control section transmits the identification information of one of the plurality of memory devices through a data line to select the one memory device, (ii) a write data transmission period during which the control section transmits one set of write data in a predetermined unit to the selected one memory device, and (iii) a response period during which the selected one memory device transmits to the control section a response signal indicating a communication error in relation to the received one set of write data.
