PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of a reactor deteriorated with age. SOLUTION: The reactor has a laminated E-type iron core and a laminated I-type iron core which are mutually butted, wherein an air gap 5 is formed between the central magnetic leg of the laminated E-type iron core and laminated I-type iron core arranged opposite to the former, a coil 3 is wound around the central magnetic leg of the laminate E-type iron core with insulating paper 4 therebetween, and by making the board thickness of an E-type iron plate 1b and I-type iron plate 2b at two laminated end parts forming the laminated E-type iron core and laminated I-type iron core thicker than that of the E-type iron core 1a and I-type iron core 2a inside the lamination, iron cores swelling caused by the magnetic vibration can be mechanically controlled and short-circuit smoke accidents between the iron core and the coil 3 due to aged deterioration can be reduced, thus enabling safety improvement.
