PURPOSE: A user position based display apparatus and a method thereof are provided to enable a natural interaction with a user by differentiating an input method. CONSTITUTION: A position recognizer(120) determines the user location based on a display device. A control unit(160) configures a screen based on the user location and displays the screen. The control unit extracts user information based on the user location and once again changes the screen. The user location is the distance between the display device and the user. If the distance is less than a first distance, the control unit configures and displays the screen with a content which is operated by the user.
