MOTOR DRIVING DEVICE USING SMA AND IPMC AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A motor driving device using an SMA(Shape Memory Alloy) and an IPMC(Ionic Polymer-Metal Composite) and driving method thereof are provided to have a simple structure and simply operate. CONSTITUTION: One side of an SMA device(120) is fixed to a base member. The SMA device generates length displacement according to a temperature and recovers the length into the original length. An elastic member(130) is compressed in a set temperature range and extended by an elastic restoring force in a set temperature range so that the elastic member lengthens the length of the SMA device. One side of an IPMC device(140) is connected to the other side of the SMA device. The IPMC device generates volume displacement by applying voltages to two electrodes.
