PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to reproduce video data with less delay while maintaining an intrinsic picture interval. SOLUTION: There is provided a free-run time information setting section 3 wherein free-run information is counted up in synchronization with a free-run clock 3a, and when display time information is detected by a video data receiving section 1, if the free-run time information is ahead of the display time information, the display time information is set to the free-run time information. If the free-run time information counted up by the free-run time information setting section 3 corresponds to the display time information given to the video data stored by a video data storage section 2, then a video data reproduction section 4 starts video data reproduction.
