PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device that reduces the troublesomeness of a driver. SOLUTION: The driving support device 1 performs driving support to avoid obstacles around a vehicle for the driver of the vehicle. The driving support device includes an obstacle radar 4 that detects the obstacles; a driving operation detection unit 5 that detects driving operation of the driver; a risk map generation unit 13, that calculates the risk for the obstacles to the vehicle that is detected by the obstacle radar 4; and a support decision unit 16, that determines whether the driver has performed an operation to avoid the risk of the obstacles, based on a detected result of the obstacle radar 4 and driving detection unit 5, and changes the contents of the driving support, according to the degree of the risk. The support decision unit 16 changes the content of the driving support having the risk of obstacles that is higher than at a determined time as to the content of a lower driving support, when the unit determines that the driver has already performed the operation for avoiding risk.
