PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control apparatus which raises convenience of devices such as a TV (television receiver) which displays a content such as television broadcasting programs. SOLUTION: Digital TVs 12 and 13 obtain the content to be displayed, and detect whether a user who views the content exists in the surroundings. For example, in the digital TV 12, when it is detected that the user does not exist in the surroundings when the content is displayed, absence information that the user does not exist is transmitted to the other digital TV 13, and recording control for recording the content displayed to the digital TV 12 in a recorder 11 is performed. Meanwhile, in the other digital TV 13, when it is detected that the user exists after receiving the absence information from the digital TV 12, the content recorded in the recorder 11 is reproduced and displayed by the recording control by the digital TV 12 which transmits the absence information.
