PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device for reducing spin-up time. SOLUTION: The device includes a first optical pickup P1 scanning mainly an inner periphery part A of an optical disk 20, and a second optical pickup P2 scanning mainly an outer periphery part B of the optical disk 20. During spin up to be started after loading the optical disk 20, disk information of the inner periphery part A is read through the first optical pickup P1, and disk information of the outer periphery part B is read through the second optical pickup P2.
