PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic apparatus that obtains satisfactory images when an attachment optical system is mounted on the apparatus. SOLUTION: The photographic apparatus includes: an imaging element; a photographing optical system that zooms subject images that are formed on the photographing optical system; the attachment optical system that is attachable to the photographing optical system; and an image trimming module that electrically trims parts of available picture areas so that a center position of the available picture area of the imaging element and a center position of a circular image of the photographic optical system coincide in a predetermined zooming range that is determined while the photographing optical system is mounted on the attachment optical system.
