An image processing method in which a plurality of corresponding windows are set for a standard image and a reference image based on specified correlations when the shape of an object is recovered by stereo matching using the standard image and the reference image. Arranging order of the plurality of windows in the reference image is corrected such that the arranging order of the windows set in the reference image matches the arranging order of the plurality of windows in the standard image. Since the matching is corrected based on the arranging order, stereo matching between the standard image and the reference image is facilitated and the image processing time can be shortened. |
