PURPOSE: A recombinant vector containing DNA fragments for chloroplast targeting is provided to ensure targeting efficiency and to produce a large amount of target protein. CONSTITUTION: A DND fragment for chloroplast targeting contains a base sequence encoding an amino acid sequence of sequence number 16 in a base sequence of sequence number 1. A recombinant vector contains the DNA fragment, promoter, and a gene which encodes a target protein. The target protein is green fluorescent protein(GFP). The target protein is prepared by introducing the recombinant vector into a plant.
