SEPARATION PLATE FOR POLYMER ELECTROLYTE MEMBRANE FUEL CELL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A separator for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell is provided to lower electricity contact resistance and to reduce energy loss by smoothening water circulation through reaction by increasing a hydrophilic property of the separator surface. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a separator for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell comprises the steps of: supplying prepreg(10) and graphite foil(11); cutting the prepreg and graphite foil in a longitudinal direction of the separator to be manufactured; compressing the cut prepreg and graphite foil; heating and pressurizing the prepreg in which graphite foil is laminated in one body to form hydrogen, air, and cooling water channels through high temperature press(22), or passing through a hot roll press to prepare a separator(30); cutting unnecessary parts from a heated and pressurized separator; and performing post-curing treatment of the manufactured separator.
