The shrinkage fixture comprises a sliding carriage which is guided in a longitudinal direction of a rail on a rail system (30) which is mounted on a carrier base (28) parallel to an axis (16) of a tool holder (12). The sliding carriage is moved along a displaced path in an active area of a tempering device. The sliding carriage is moved for heating and cooling of the tool holder in different axial positions along the rail system.
