PURPOSE: A fast dry alkyd resin composition is provided to enable rapid natural drying without the addition of hardeners and to shorten first and second construction time. CONSTITUTION: A fast dry alkyd resin composition includes 35~50 weight% of TMP, 35~50 weight% of phthalic anhydride, 25~40 weight% of dopamine topa, and 0.003~0.1 weight% of calcium. A method for preparing the fast dry alkyd resin composition comprises the steps of: mixing TMP, phthalic anhydride and dopamine at 210~245 °C for 3-3.5 hours; and lowering a heating temperature of the composition of the first step to 75~85 °C, mixing the cooled composition with 0.003~0.1 weight% of 4% calcium, and maintaining the mixture for 2-2.5 hours. |
