PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for processing a signal by removing a reflective wave generated by a robot platform are provided to apply freely a sound source direction technique to various robot platforms by removing a reflective wave. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing a signal by removing a reflective wave generated by a robot platform includes a transfer function measurement unit, an impulse response acquisition unit, and a reflective wave removal unit. The transfer function measurement unit measures a transfer function between channels from signals of a plurality of channels(S801). The impulse response acquisition unit acquires an impulse response between the channels from the transfer function between the channels measured from the transfer function measurement unit(S803). The reflective wave removal unit removes a reflective wave by discriminating the reflective wave from a direct wave(S804).
