PURPOSE: A method and system for correcting purple fringing are provided to correct the purple fringing of an image obtained from various environments. CONSTITUTION: A purple fringing correction method is as follows: A step of converting a color space of an original image(S11); a step of detecting a purple fringe area by using a converted image(S13); a step of correcting the detected purple fringing region(S16).
